History of a Child Genius;

Neji's history is a complicated one. His parents were very much in love, but his mother was given a business opportunity in America and left Neji in his father's care. He lived happily with him until the age of eight when gang mistook his father for his twin brother, Hiashi.

He died in hospital. Neji never really forgave his uncle, but he was forced to live with him until he was sixteen, when his mother asked if he wanted to live with her. He did so for two years before his mother, a well known psychic, fell in with a cult. Neji disowned her after they convinced him, while drugged, to tattoo a 'caged bird' symbol on his head. He wears a bandanna over it most of the times, but refuses to have it removed, as a reminder to himself.

He returned to Japan this year, to follow his dream career in forensics and criminal science.

Personality;

Neji is, in a word, cold. Logical, analytical, and seemingly devoid of any emotion except pride, at least on first impression. Underneath he has a very fragile personality. His self assurance is a way of hiding how much he wants to prove himself to his family.

It takes a lot of effort to get to be close enough to Neji to be considered his friend, but once you are, he will keep you close as he can.

He tends to insult those he sees as having a lower intelligence than himself, and challenge those with equal and superior.

He's also fairly supersticious, choosing to go further around than cross over three drains, etc. He also has a strong belief in the ability to predict the future, but also believes that you can change it, if you work hard enough.
